Introduction to Oil 1.2 and 1.3

First "color pass": a layer of warm and cools glazed over the grisaille, using ultramarine blue and burnt sienna mixtures, with plenty of medium.

Second color pass. Fine tuning contrasts (lights, darks and mid values) and edges.
Second color pass. Fine tuning contrasts (lights, darks and mid values) and edges.

A final look at the first project in Introduction to Oil Painting: White Object. On the right is the finished study, 5 x 7 inches. The total number of color passes are 2, using neutralized ultramarine blue and burnt sienna.
